How to login using the terminal¶
Access to the system requires both SSH and two-factor authentication (2FA). First follow the instructions on how to generate an SSH key pair. Once your account has been created and 2FA has been configured, you can connect using your preferred SSH client:
ssh [username]@login.hpc.arrhenius.naiss.se
[username]@login.hpc.arrhenius.naiss.se) Password: ******
[username]@login.hpc.arrhenius.naiss.se) Verification code: *****
In case you cannot access the login node, please try arrhenius1.hpc.arrhenius.naiss.se or arrhenius3.hpc.arrhenius.naiss.se.
Access to Arrhenius HPC for EuroHPC users¶
If you are a member of a project on Arrhenius allocated via EuroHPC:
-
Make sure your PI has access to the EFP Allocations portal and can see your project there. See the EFP Allocations documentation.
-
Your PI will invite you to join the project in the portal. Handle the invitation email and make sure you too have access to the EFP Allocations portal. Accept the Terms of Service for NAISS/Arrhenius as that is needed to trigger user creation on Arrhenius.
-
When your user request has been handled at NAISS, you will get an email with your username and a link to information about logging in via the EFP SSH CA.
-
For problems with EFP Allocations, contact the EFP helpdesk. For Arrhenius problems, use the Arrhenius support form.
